Since I have researched much on this Wolter family, and I feel a little confused about what information I have, I think it is time to do a re-start on the research.

So, who was Miss Charlotte Wolter, who resided at 2125 S. 40th Avenue in Chicago, Illinois?

Already discovered is that in 1900, John Wolter (and Charlotte) resided at 692 West 20th Street in Chicago. And, in 1910, they resided at 2514 South 41st Court in Chicago.

Is it possible that the address in the diary was written later – it was added in a later year?  It is necessary to check for other census records.

In 1920, a Charlotte Wolter resided in the household of her father, John.  A carpenter, John owned their residence at 2514 South Kedvale Avenue in Chicago.  Charlotte was 30 years of age.  She was born in Germany, as were her parents.  She immigrated in 1892 and was Naturalized.  John and Martha were Charlotte’s parents, and she had siblings Katherine and Elmer.  Catherine and Elmer were born in Illinois – Katharine was 23 and Elmer was 20.  Charlotte was a Stenographer at the Electrical Co.
