Christian Friedrick Martin Bringe arrived in New York on the ship Moravia on 14 November 1884, accompanied by his wife, Marie (age 41), and his children Joh. (age 22), Friedr. (age 9), Ernst (age 8), Carl (age 5), Anna (age 4), Martin (age 3), and Albert (age 9 months).

Upon arrival in the United States, “Fredrich” took his family to northwest Ohio.

In 1898, F. Bringe was owned a farm in Madison Township, Sandusky County, Ohio.

In the 1900 U. S. Fred is the head of the household, with wife Marie H. and son Albert H. in his household.  Fred is 66 years of age, having been born in November 1834, and a farmer.  He is a naturalized citizen having immigrated to the U. S. in 1884.  Marie is 57 years of age, having been born in November 1842.    Fred and Marie have been married 42 years, having had six children – all of them still living.  Marie immigrated to the U. S. in 1884.  Fred is renting his farm.  Albert is 16 years of age, having been born in January 1883.  He is a farm laborer.  He immigrated as well in 1884.
