It is always important to obtain permission when a photo found on the Internet is going to be copied.  Most photos are copyrighted, and for that reason it is important to obtain this permission.

I found my direct ancestor’s brother, his wife and family and some other family members, buried in a cemetery in Dawes County, Nebraska.  I wanted to use the photos of gravestones, as well as the information on the stones, in my blog.  The website itself contained the necessary procedure for obtaining permission to use the photos.  I simply emailed the photo contributor requesting permission to use the photos and information.  Upon receiving the permission, I contacted the site Project Coordinator with proof of this consent.

That was all there was to it!  Easy!
